To add custom blocks to the PCS 7 measuring point browser, you can follow these steps:

1. Locate the XML File: The blocks displayed in the measuring point browser are defined in an XML file. You can find this file at:

   C:\Program Files (x86)\SIEMENS\WinCC\Options\SSM\PCS7_TagStates_APL.xml
   

2. Create a Custom XML File: You can create your own XML file to define custom blocks. The file should be named in the format PCS7_TagStates_XXX.xml, where XXX is a name of your choice.

3. Define Columns and Types:

   • Columns: Define the different states (e.g., Manual, Auto, Internal Setpoint) and their corresponding text, icons, etc.
   • Types: Define the different block types and the status bits used to display the states defined in the columns.

4. Place the Custom XML File: Save your custom XML file in the same directory as the original XML file.

5. Restart WinCC: After making these changes, restart WinCC and the runtime to apply the new configurations
