For the past few days I've been trying to simulate an hmi screen (mtp700 unified comfort) in tia portal V20.

Originally the "start simulation" button was greyed out and there was no way to get it active. After reinstalling tia portal and the wincc unified runtime twice, I finally managed to get the start simulation button to appear. Only to now have a webpage open with the message “no connection to server”.

I can see in the runtime manager that the project is running, but i can't get it to display.

Anyone have any idea?

On a side note, how does Siemens manage to make every new version of their software worse than the last?

I followed the guide to the end, and some settings needed to be changed. But the problem remains the same.

Next week, i'll reinstall windows and try with a completely fresh pc.

Installed everything on a clean windows, still doesn't work.

IIS site is visible and running.

In the wincc runtime manager i can see the project running.

If i access the webpage i can see there is a wincc server running but as i click the rt-button i only get the no connection error.

I'm running Windows 11 Business Version 23H2.

I was going to say all software is updated regulary with the tia updater, but i just noticed the tia updater is missing. Is it not available anymore in V20? 

I'll see about installing the updates manually. won't be this week because our IT-department isn't available for admin acces this week.

I feared that was the case. I can't login to tia administator. 

From what i've read online, the tia administrator tool is not compatible with azure domain accounts.

Because of my company's IT-policy, I can't get a local account.
