we have got Siemens SITRANS FM MAG5100 Flow meter with a part number of

7ME6520-8BC13-2HF1-Z

. The Liner material is Hard Rubber Liner and the project is Potable water supply line. The question is, Can we do the disinfection of the pipeline with flow meter installed on the pipe with the chlorine content 25ppm to 40ppm as the liner is Hard Rubber liner. The disinfection chemical is Sodium Hypochlorite. what is the safe limit of chlorine acceptable to this liner material?

In the part number 2nd 5 digit field, the code 2 is for EPDM and the code 3 is for NBR hard rubber. The Siemens materials compatability guide is attached. Sodium Hypochlorite is listed as 'moderate' resistance for pure solutions at 20 Deg C. One would assume that a flow tube designed for potable water would tolerate disinfection with a chlorine solution, given that ubiquitous presence of chlorine in water treatment.
