Hardware Compilation Error

OczkoW Joined: 1/23/2024 Last visit: 12/16/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, after intalling TIA v19 update 5, on my new computer with windows 11 pro, I have problems with compiling my project. Everytime I try to compile hardware, either on my HMI or PLC, The TIA portal is crashing, and occurs the error “the compilation of the hardware configuration failed 00ec”. Even when I try to show labels in devices network I got the same error. I have installed the HSP files for the TIA v19.

You can use this button to save the crash report. You can then post this file here. The file is also required if you need to open a ticket with Siemens Support. Tarwar Expert Joined: 7/31/2020 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 426 Rating: (20)	Hello, According to the crash report, TIA Portal cannot access the file C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V19\Bin\Siemens.MC.Drives.Edd.UIPackage.UserCtrlPEGridMdd.dll. You can either copy it from another computer or try a repair installation of Update 5. The file may have been moved to quarantine by a virus scanner. If this is the case, the file must be entered as an exception in the virus scanner. Best regards
