Hello Everyone,

I have looked in the forum and did not find any specific answers to the question , how can i open a popup on the positive trigger of a PLC tag. i have tried writing a global script to iopen it, but it gives an error that UI open Popup cannot be called in such a way. and i assume Sheduler wont help either.

i use TIA 17 upd 5 , WinCC unified upd 5

Thank you for the reply . No, in my case i want to connect a PLC tag to open and close the Popup window instead of a click event . 

i saw somewhere that in the HMI tags one can also select events for particular tags aswell. it does not seem to work anymore.

I have tried this and it worked:

On the colour property of a nonfunctional and nonvisible rectangle on the main screen window that is always active, I have defined a script that checks the tag (every second) and accordingly opens a popup.

Here one important point: If timer is not used the the popup does not open on all active logged in users. It opens on just randomly one user.
