• To assign a color palette to a device, go to runtime settings> screens (You can assign just one color palette per device)

• If you subsequently remove the color palette in the Runtime settings, the RGB color value of configured colors of a color palette is retained in object properties.

• To assign a color pallet to a faceplate, go in the faceplate (screen) properties > ReferenceColorPalette

• To use a color defined in the color palette, e.g. > go to the object property >  click on the color field > select the right combobox, change from color to color palette, > cllick in “...” button > choose the color.

• Despite the color name being clearly visible, on the right, in parentheses, the color palette index number will appear.

• The color palette could also be set by script,either by name or index,  for example
