As far as your second question is concerned, you should look up the S7-200 Smart System Manual, and search for "configuring analog inputs/:

On page 140 you will find the information you need. Click on your analog input module channel, select Current, and select 4/20 mA.

Big picture: scale the 0-20mA AI instead as 4mA-20mA, ignoring the signal in the range 0-3.9999mA.

Dear Daniel,

     As per the S7-200 Smart System Manual, we can configure AI/AO current input 0-20mA but not 4-20mA.  I would like to configure module for 4-20mA. Please guide me how to configure as 4-20mA input as S7-300 AI/AO modules?
