Helo! I'm very newby in Step7. I got task to convert 3 existing S5 project to S7. I have read almoust every post in this forum regarding converting Step5 project to Step7. Then encouraged, I folow all steps described in Module B6 "Conversion STEP5 => STEP7". Unfortunality, after very first S5 project import and compiling external source, I got lots of error and warning messages (69 error and 235 warnings, wow!). Then there is any blocks included in project after. This is quite frustrating for beginner. Could anyone help me about this? I apreciate every help. Atached are 3 .S5D files which make "my life harder". Meanwhile I carefully reading "From S5 to S7" converter manual. Regards! Attachmentv-00-08.zip (460 Downloads) |

Hi Mladjo, First off al you need a good crossreference file (XR.INI) so that the converter could find the right following order. Second is not everything to convert.... SINEC L2 is a not known net-protocol in STEP7... I have generated the XR.INI files for you so that conversion is possible without the right order of blocks to detect by yourself. I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |

hello, the missing FC88 you can find in the standard library -> S5-S7 Converting Blocks. Then you can compile the source. But it's better when you write this program part new with S7-instructions for division. The warnings means that these are not full qualified accesses to DB. You must check if the correct DB is opened. Regards
