Is SIEMENS APC Addon DCS manufacturer Independent??????

That is can i offer a client an APC package from Siemens so that it can support and enhance his process with a third party DCS like Honewell Experion or say Invensys Foxboro or say Yokogawa centum 3000?? Is the APC addon works on open protocols??? If so has this been implemented successfully??? What is the basic difference between fuzzy logic control and Multivariable predictive control???? thanks & regards,

FuzzyControl++ and Neuro Systems are configuration tools with runtime modules for SIMATIC (CPUs and WinCC). APC addon doesn't work on open protocols. I don't know what do you mean with "Multivariable predictive control". I don't know this term. If there are several manipulated & controlled variables in one unit, that are interacting with each other then you are in a multivariable control situation. multi-input and multi-ouput (AKA MIMO control) regards,
