In my application I first stop the axis and then put gearing off. Because at that moment my first priority is stopping the axis, at standstill there is plenty of time to put the gear off, and I'm not sure that I won't loose any time when first ungearing (when the axis isstill moving)before stopping.
But I am also interesseted in what is 'best practice'.
This is an example of so many 'simple' questions I had when setting up my first project. But it's a real struggle to find someone with a well based answer.
