Wincc Flexible licenses problem

mihai anghel Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We have recently bought a RT license for Wincc Flexible. We have developed our aplication and when it was finished we transfered to the HMI PC. When we tried to run the aplication we got a message that was saing that "User/archive license" is missing. It was true that we dont have this license, but how ever we dont need this license. we dont make any archives we dont use trends, the only thing that we need is the alrms to be available for couple of days. Is it realy necesary for us to buy this license???...or have we done something wrong in the development of the aplication? I hope that someone can help me Best Regards

skimmer Posts: 317 Rating: (18)	If you have configured an alarm log then you will need a licence as Wizard says. If you have less than 1024 alarms over the time period then you could just view the alarm buffer in a window.

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	Protool RT did have archiving included. On the other hand, the price of a Protool RT license is comparable to a similar Win CC Flex RT license + Archives license. So it is actually fair that you get a discount if you do not need archiving.
