DP-DP COUPLER BETWEEN TWO SIEMENS PLC's

annupalani Posts: 26 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts For one of our system in our plant we are interfacing Two Siemens PLC with Siemens DP-DP Coupler. Kindly advice Following are the clarifications requested: a) Do we need to configure/include DP-DP Coupler in HW Configuration of both SIEMENS PLC’s? If so what are the settings/address to be defined on both side? b) Any other procedure to be followed for this configuration apart from defining the IO configurations(ie.number of bytes) in HW Configuration. Dear annupalani, In both SIEMENS PLC's you need to include the DP/DP coupler in HW configuration. It is a DP slave with an unique profibus address. It can be different DP slave address on both HW-configurations. Then you will have to configure the amount of Bytes you want to communicate between the PLC's Here is a link to manual: DP/DP coupler Best regards, Wizard
