Routing to CU305DP via 319F PN/DP

I have a 319F 3PNDP controlling the S110, and i'm using Starter to configure the CU305. I have tried setting up a PG/PC connection as explained in "How to connect to a VFD via remote Ethernet connection". I get a error: "An attempt was made to establish a connection to an incompatible device (ret = 0xbe0b0052)" Is this final, or have i not configured something correctly?

Graeme Platinum Member Joined: 6/4/2008 Last visit: 11/25/2025 Posts: 1521 Rating: (327)	Hi, am I correct in assuming that the problem when you try to route comms from the PG via ethernet to the CPU and then via DP to the CU305. Can you communicate ok with the CPU. Try viewing the configuration in netpro, this will immediately identify if the PG is routed correctly. Another thought, make sure you have all the correct updates and SSP's (Sinamics Support Package) for the devices you are using. If possible, upload a copy of your project as it is configured showing your current routing setup, this will help us to identify your problem. Cheers, Graeme

The two main issues for it not working were: incorrect version of GSD/hardware setup. Hadn't configured alternative connection in starter. Attached is a breif description of setting it up.
