Sicam PAS V6.0 with SP3 - problem with SNMP Interface

faizii Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	hi mike, I am using Sicam PAS V6.0 with SP3 in our project. I am facing problem that the SNMP Interface completely going online offline and creating problem. Under SNMP we have Ruggedcom switches and HOPF devices. This is happening very often and giving alarms. how to fix this problem. Please help; Regards

Connect only one device. Works? Have you configured RuggedCom for SNMP? Have a firewall? Is the service activate in Feature Enabler? Mike J

faizii Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	hi mike, We are using redundant system and the substation we are working is in hot condition so its difficult of disconnect the switches as it will led to communication problem and control centre will be involved...ok...anyway.. we are not using a firewall. the service is enabled in the feature enabler. Ruggedcom switches are configured for the SNMP we do have similar projects with similar settings and is working fine.. the snmp is ok for say few minutes ..some hours sometimes and then again looses communication showing invalid status..i have tried few things but not wrking out.. i can provide further information ..please suggest some other work around...

All future devices or devices not actually installed must be stopped in UI Operation. You can have a log in Windows events and check if there are any messages there. Apart from this, better contact customer care., Mike J
