Hello nbk I'm afraid to say that I can't give you silver bullet type "do this and that" answers, but will try to at least outline a few things and hopefully point you in the right direction. To start with, you application falls into the"Machine Safety" arenaand a good Siemens related starting point for this is THIS site: You'll also need to consider the relevant laws as wellas applicablesafety standards in the country that you are in. As for your specific questions: I presume you are looking at using Distributed Safety, correct? If so chapter 4.5 of the S7 Distributed Safety - configuring and programming manual hasthe startup protection info you are after. Any and all that have been raised by anyone during the Hazard ID is the only sensible answer I can give you for this one. Make sure you don't get "countable" inputs upon PLC restart or supress countingby usingflags and/or timers that are activated uponPLC restart (e.g set in startup OB's, reset when startup completed or acknowledged). I hope this helps |
