S7-1200 How to copy REAL from one DB to four consecutive bytes in another DB?

Sorry for disturbing so often, but since S7-1200 has THE WORST DOCUMENTATION EVER, and it was released UNFINISHED, i must ask even this: I have a DB1 with 5 real variables in it. I have a DB2 with array of byes, 20 bytes in total. How to copy (in less then five MOVE instructions- that I know) DB1.DBD1 to 4 bytes in DB2, starting from byte 4 in DB2? And form DB2 four consecutive bytesto real in DB1? Thanks.

If you use the FieldRead / FieldWrite, you can index through properly constructed real arrays (non-symbolic only DBs) and set the values. I should think two loops will use much less memory than the long-hand method. Look on the FAQs, etc, for use of the fieldread/fieldwrite commands. It will require a little testing on your test PLC to make it work unless you are lucky or good (or both). If you do not have a test PLC on your desk, I urge you to pick one up to test things like this. I have mine driving a little KTP 6" color unit. Right now all it really does is toggle my welcome message to office visitors, but it has and will also run project test programming and screens. Worth the investment.
