You have to select a PLC by looking at what you need. 1. Amount and type off i/o needed now and in the future, what standard onboard i/o have CPU . 2. Need special features like PID, PTO, high speed counters etc. in large amounts. 3. Needeasy communication. 4. Do you really needthe higher speed of the CPU. 5. Price 6. Spare parts orextensionsavailable in next 10 years as mentioned above. 7. Do you have to buy new software for programming or is it already in the house. All this thing you can find in the manual of both systems. After thinking off all these points you have found a list of arguments to show your boss. Regards, Marcjan
