TON in combination with PLC Sim

Wil Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Hello, I am not able to simulate a timer using 'SFB4: Timer On Delay' in combination with S7-PLCSIM. The condition 'Enable' is always true. The timer value is set to a constant value of 15 seconds. If I makethe condition 'IN' true the output 'Q' returns TRUE immidiately. The time of 15 seconds is not taken into account. If I download the program in a real PLC the time is taken into account and the output returns TRUE only after 15 seconds. If I change the timer from 'SFB4: TON' to a timer of type 'S_ODT' the simulation returns a good result. The output is only put TRUE after 15 seconds. BUT: I want to use'SFB4: TON'because I want the code to be self contained, I don't have to assign a timer in the symbol list. I want to use the 'SFB4: TON' as a STAT within the functon block. In this way I can use the complete FB where ever I want with only calling the FB with the correct parameters assigned. What can be the cause of not simulating the 'SFB4:TON' ????? (I use PLCSIM version V5.3 + SP1). Kind regards: Wil

MartAnd Posts: 31 Rating: (2)	I once ran into the same problem and that's why I also want to keep this thread alive... Aren't there any of you experts on this forum who have any input to this issue? I can't remember but I think I tried to set the SP to a day or so and it counted extremly fast if this could be of any help. I used TON as a stat in SCL and the same software package as Wil together with a CPU414-3DP. Regards Mårten

PADA GBG Advanced Member Joined: 2/2/2007 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	This is a nown problem with PLCSIM and TON. It was fixed whit Hotfix1 for V5.3 SVP1 And the file is 3000KB. If you wait same few weeks you can upgrade to PLCSIM V5.4
