Shivshanker Posts: 49 Rating: (1)	Hi I have a transformer of 600V AC Ouput. Can I Use Drive Whose Input Voltage Rating 3phase 690V AC on the Above mentioned Transformer without any harm or i shall use a transforer whose output shall be 690V AC.?

Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hello shivsharma, The answer to your question depends upon the specific input voltage operating range for the drive. Drives are normally rated to operate within a specific voltage range. If drive is rated to operate with input voltage in range of 600 VAC to 690 VAC then the 600 VAC transformer output voltage would be acceptable for drive itself. However, due to the 600 VAC input you may not be able to achieve the maximum amount of power out of drive to motor to perform application (i.e. due to the lower input voltage the output voltage to motor will be lower and more current will be needed through motor to perform application). Please note the drive selection also depends options to be selected depending upon number of digital I/Os, any other specific logic if needed, technology etc. I would recomend you to contact your near Siemens RSC for more information. Please check the manual of 6RA70 here for more information.
