S7-1200 to control G120C (newbie)

Martynas.Lukas Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am new with Siemens. I have CPU S7-1200 and i would like to control 3 G120C inverters. Also i have CM1241 (RS485). Mabye someone could help me with communication between CPU and inverters and also about STEP 7 v11 sp1 how to communicate in program. Thanks for help, Martynas Lukas

G120C is 6SL3210-1KE21-3AB0 all i can find is with ending P0. Like you, I do not see a GSD for that specific module. Can you connect to the G120C with Starter? If so, what cable do you use, USB? Perhaps that device is not profibus remotely controllable. If it was me, I would not give up easily and would submit a "support request". I actuallyhave an active SR for controlling networked G120's with a S7-1200 PLC for parameter access and OPC for cyclic data. Technically should be possible but having 2 master devices is not always a happy state. Back to your problem. Have you tried using the wrong GSD file? Have you tried faking out the gsd by making a copy of the group of them, editing the part # to match your drive, and see if portal will accept it and use it successfully? As I said, I would not give up easily!
