How to test com port in windows 7?

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Data transfer thru this Laptop had failed. We checked with other laptop & same cable, data transferred successfully. So I suspect about the functioning of this COM port & wanted to test it, as explained in earlier, with windows XP OS. But on this laptop, OS was windows 7 & I could not test it. Any way, we have sent this laptop to Dell service center, let us wait for the service report. Thanks for your interaction.

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	We received the laptop from DELL today. Feedback received from their support/service department is, COM port & laptop is OK, NO ANY PROBLEM. Just they recommend to configure/ open new user account with same access as the earlier user had. We did so & found it worked correctly i.e. data transferred without any problem. I am surprised about this. This is for your information please.
