PLC for step coupler

Ton Verra Gold Member Joined: 4/20/2007 Last visit: 1/2/2026 Posts: 731 Rating: (43)	Hi all, I am looking for a PLC that can handle a 3 point step controller, that drives a stepcoupler with up to 50 steps for element control of boilers. User has to be able to change setpoint and other controller settings on a small (touch)screen. I need 1 analog input, about 3 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. In the past we used a seperate controller and a simple OMRON PLC. Our bigger systems contain a S7 300 PLC, but that would be a little bit overkill for a application like this. With all these new smaller/cheaper solutions coming out the last years, can any of you point me to a PLC series that would be suited for this? Ton

There are different options as shown in the attachment.Their integral I/O also mentioned.
