Please state which control mode you are using p1300 , have you performed the ID Run with P1900.
Also check p640 ,current limit

your second question , you can't convert the your back up to starter . rectify me if i'm wrong

Hi,

I am replacing a faulty masterdrive unit (Simovert VC - 6SE7018-0EA61-Z) to Sinamics G120 (CU240E-2).

There are a few issues that i encountered during commissioning of the new Sinamics Drive.

1. The basic motor parameters has been manually entered into the drive:

- motor rated voltage

- rated current

- rated power

- rated frequency

- rated speed

- min and max speed.

The above data were obtained from the old masterdrive parameter list which i downloaded into my PC using Drive ES. (it matches the data shown on the motor)

When i manually started the motor from the drive, the motor runs for a few seconds and then an alarm pops up on the sinamics drive displaying (F07900).

I did test the motor by connecting it to another functional masterdrive unit, and it is working fine without error. From the manual, it mentioned that i need to correct the parameters on (P2175 and P2177) which i have already tried but the results are the same.

Is there anything else that i need to check?

2. Since i already have a complete backup of the old masterdrive unit in my Drive ES, how do i covert it to Sinamics Starter software?

first perform quick commissioning procedure then perform Motor Data Identification procedure then start motor in no load condition...during quick commissioning make sure you have enter correct motor data..
