Problem installing SSP SINUMERIK SINAMICS Int V4.4

marinanova Regular Member Joined: 3/16/2010 Last visit: 10/2/2025 Posts: 11 Rating: (1)	Hi, I'm installing STARTER v4.2.0.1 and I want to install SSP SINUMERIK SINAMICS Int V4.4 package too. I chek this feature during STARTER installation first steps. Every thing goes well untill the SSP package install is reached. Then, after a while, it says there has been an error and points to the error log file. I look into this file and in the last line I find this: "failed to open databaseu7bt05ax.exe: error: Fehler beim erstellen des config-files für UMCInstallation" Can you help me, please? How can I solve this failure? Thanks in advance, Txomin

Simsoft Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	We have the same problem with Starter V4.3 SP HF2. firmware 4.4 looks to be installed but when going through the comissioning from Step 7manager no CU, NXor drives are shown in starter.Even if you create a new project in step 7 for NCU7xx.3 ver 4.4 starter fails to see the drive objects however if you create a project with ver4.5 starter works fine. Even if you try to look for deviced via accesable nodes in starter to and NCU with4.4 it has limited functionallty. We have request with the hotline regards this issue bur have been told it may take some time to get the resolved.

michau_stesar Experienced Member Joined: 1/16/2007 Last visit: 6/7/2023 Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	Please install Sinumerik Toolbox - it contains Drive Support Package for STARTER. I think it should help. You can check if it is correctly installed by clicking: Help\Installed devices.. in STARTER.

Ashutosh Kr Bronze Member Joined: 3/15/2011 Last visit: 4/23/2025 Posts: 134 Rating: (9)	uninstall the starter software completly , from registry also.Some Step 7 file can also interfare for installing starter.download the latest version V4.3.2 from siemens site and install the starter through CD1. Hope this helps
