Infeed modules are non-regenerative and have a non-stabilised DC link supply. Infeed Modules:- Known as “Open-loop” these modules may also be referred to as U/E modules.They are typically used on low dynamic drives systems with few or short braking Requirements. Infeed/Regen modules are regenerative and have a stabilised DC linksupply Infeed/regen. Modules:- Known as “Closed-loop” these modules may also be referred to as E/R orI/R modules. viralpatel Posts: 523 Rating: (32)	trivedi can anyone tell me what is the difference between E/R module ,I/R module and U/E module Hi Trivedi, please below basic line module are designed only for infeed operation not capable of feeding regenerative energy back to supply system smart line module can supply energy to the DC link and return regenerative energy to the supply system ,a braking module and resistor only required if if drive is need to be decelerated in a controlled manner after power failure active line module can supply energy to the DC link and return regenerative energy to the line supply it generate regulated DC voltage remain constant despite of i/p variation so no harmonic distortions , regards, Viral patel
