I have a view questions about this.

Do you use a CP 5611 or CP 5512or a MPI Cable to download your configuration over the MPI Interface?
Have you set the PC as the only Master on the Bus at the Interface settings?
Which Baud rate and Bus address have you chosen for the MPI Download?

I hope we will figure some more out.

CPU 5611
I am using a standard serial cable (9 way) to the MPI port. Not sure if this correct?
I have tried to set it to Single and Multiple Master with no success.

I think the address of the 5611 is 0 @ 187.5K and the CPU Address 2 @187.5K.

As you can tell from this info, I'm not reslly sure whatI am doing and was after a step by step guide of settingup and downloading anonline project.

I am sorry but you can not use a serial cable for MPI or PROFIBUS. You will have to use either a PROFIBUS or a MPI Cable.

Have you ever thought about attending an STEP 7 Training? I would recommend this because telling you what to do exceed the Forum by far. There are really a lot of points to be aware of... using the "right"Cable is really a basic.

Another Sample is the Point with "the only Master on the Bus", this is a Bus setting for the MPI Interface in the PG/PC Interface Settings. I have no clue what you think about Single or Multiple Master. I am really sorry.
