Hello Chetan2490, The current transformer when the secondary is open, it may present a very high voltage in the secondary as a whole becomes the primary magnetizing current. The magnetic core then enters into saturation induction values significantly higher than those of the project (0.5-0.8 tesla), which leads to unacceptable losses in the iron that lead to overheating of the TA and to damage to the insulation of the windings.

Hi There It all depends on the type of CT ,Ct ratio ,CT ratings if you provide the same it would be easy.
