User needs to have complete motor name plate data like base speed, base voltage, rated filed current, max motor speed etc. Indrive appropriate parameters to be loaded & filed weakning is done i.e. motor armatuer rated voltage is kept constant & field current is gradually reduced. This is how field weakning is performed. AC motors. Same user needs to have complete motor name plate data & in drive appropriate parameters are loaded. Only difference here is, motor rated stator voltage is kept constant & frequency is increased. In field weakning mode, motor runs in constant power, reduced torque condition. HTH.

Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hello metwally mustafa, Always consult with motor manfuacturer data for the motor whether is is DC or AC. If DC armature voltage is raised to higher voltage than designed by manufacturer then motor willlikely fail prematurely. Also, for higher speeds of DC motor, verify from DC motor manufacturer torque and speed capacity of the DCmotor. Best Regards, Deputy
