Hi guys,

I've been tasked to add an additional communication module to an existing S7-1500 system in order to communicate with 1 RS485 device over Modbus .

I opted for the CM PTP RS422/485 HF  ,MLFB:6ES7541-1AB00-0AB0.

Reading the datasheet and the manual I couldn't tell how this module is going to be supplied with the 24V.

I saw that the module is having the option of using the system power supply , but I don't want to use it since I am already using a power module .

I tried to find a wiring diagram but all I could find was a connection diagram which didn't show how the module is supplied with 24V.

Is it enough to use the the input current from the backplane bus in order to have an operation module or the module has 2 terminals for 0V and 24V where I can feed the supply voltage?

As you can see in the technical data here, the power is supplied by the backplane bus.
