CPU948 connect to S7-300 via RS232

I dont know anything about S5. Hello pmike, yes it is. The simpliest way to connect the two systems if you use the cp524(one serial chanel) or cp525(two serial chanel) in s5 side. You can use the original SIEMENS protocols (RK512,modbus), or you can write your individual communication protocoll. You can choose each communication cards with RS232, TTY(in s5 I dont know exactly), or RS485/422 port. If you choose the modbus protocoll you need a modbus license to 524/525 and also to CP341.
