I have Window 8 operating system in my laptop. I want to install S7 & S5 software. For it Window 7 / XP operating system is required. What I have to do??? Should I make partition separate for XP and window 7 by formatting process or I have to go for partition with the help of VM??? Please advise me.

For s5, microwin, protool and other old software I use virtual machine (with vmware) without any problems.

You have received from 2 people the suggestion to go the virtual machine (VM) route. Know that this is the better solution and the least risk (especially you not knowing how to partition). My friend  <ixo65>  published excellent observation (Vele Dank!)

The VM is software you install just like any other application. "Inside" it is like a brand new computer where you can install another Windows version. There are much help on the web on how to get started in general. Make sure you have the newest available application as not all allow proper USB usage for our programming hardware.

Actually I am facing some problem with VM while installing S7 and finally not able to install.That's why I had repeated for the procedure for normal partition other than VM. I feel, available software is having some problem because I tried several times with VM XP partition. Thanks to all of you for your valuable knowledge sharing with me.
