Is it not possible with RecipeExport function of S71500 to export a recipe DB that has structures / UDTs in it? Does it work only for simple data types?

Can you reframe your question. Both the questions you asked are exactly the other way true.

Here the UDT is just a combination of few or many system data types in a structured way to infer a specific proportion of components with identifications. Though UDT means much more, in pertext of recipe UDT is more or less as per this statement.

For simple data types you have the data logging function available inplace already.

I have a recipe DB in S71500 plc. This recipe DB has structures and UDTs in it. I exported this recipe DB to the memory card using Recipe Export function of the S7 1500 plc. When I tried reading the exported CSV file, it has 0s for the structures and correct values only for the variables that have simple data types. Thats why I asked if its not at all possible using  the Recipe Export function of the S71500 PLC to export a DB that has structures/UDTs in it.
