I have the S7 1500 CPU 1511-1PN with signal modules DI, DO, AI, AO and a Positioning module. Coming from a long time Automationdirect user I am impressed with this control. Everything but the TM-Positioning module work fine. I have a rotary encoder connected to the counter_0 input channel and the A +input led is flashing on the module as I turn the encoder.  I have the counter configured and am monitoring it with technology objects in TIA V13. Everything is working but the count stays at 0.   What is most likely the problem?

Pretty hard to check everything here since almost all is hwcfg... Try to read this, it is for 1200 but it can fits to your 1500

Thanks for the reply.  I already spend half a day on his post.  Is it possible to setup the counter with SCL instead of using technology objects?   Just for testing purposes.  

I noticed the positioning module has no I/O tags so maybe not...
