We are trying to design a control system for a flying saw based on this scenario

1PH8 Servo motor proper to my saw. Mechanical spec confirmed

Power module and line module based on the motor size

CU320-2 DP for control 

BOP20 for setting and control

I already have SCOUT as the software

As far as I understand SIEMENS has a ready made software for this application that is on the flash
What type of flash should I buy? I guess that I need U01 for DCB Extension on the flash. What else do I need? what is F01-F03 options?

Please suggest me

As far as I know, you only need to get the standard memeory module.  You install the software libraries and DCC runtime extension as  enabling a software license.  See attached HW and software requirements.

There are also some libraries that need to be installed on either an S7 1200 or S7 1500, so you also need TIA V13 SP1.

Please download the manual (found at the reference you listed in your original post) and read the requirements, as well as how the system works.

Yes, you will need a PLC.  The drive package contains the controllers and regulators, but something needs to control the machine.

My S120 catalog has no separate CF for the DCB option, just basic or extended performance.  There is only a separate license that unlocks the ability to incorporate the DCB blocks.  Do you have a part number?

And, although I agree it is somehow possible to make a primitive flying saw without a PLC (Siemens or otherwise), there are 3 axes that need to be controlled (carriage, saw feed and saw spindle) as well as auxiliary systems and a least a basic HMI for data entry.

Doing this without a PLC would be insane.

You could make it work, but without a separate PLC system it is a kludge at best.

I have not used the standard CU320 or the standard SIMOTION flying saw control since they don't operate the way I wanted to operate, so I made my own in SIMOTION.  That said, I am familiar with how it works and you can do the synchronous control using the Standard Blocks.  You may want to also buy the DCC editor software since you probably will have to do some customization.

So, you will need a CU 320-2 with some network ability (Profibus or Profinet, I use Profinet)

A CF card with with or without the DBC runtime license

A runtime license for the DCB's if you did not buy it as an option to the CF card.

An SMC 30 for your external line encoder and

A Drive-Cliq cable to connect your SMC 30 to the CU 320.

You also need an additional SMC module for your Carriage motor encoder, whichever type it is if the motor does not have a built in Drive-Cliq interface.

You can connect an HMI to the CU 320 but it is better to do that from your main HMI, since there is a lot of data that the saw system needs.

You have not mentioned how your blade spindle and saw feed work, but they also require attention.  Feeds usually have material position dependent variable feed rates and the saw blades have material position dependent cutting speeds.  These controls are also typically servo controlled.

Again, I strongly suggest that you download, read and understand the manual since all of your questions are answered there.  Cut-to-Length applications are difficult.
