We have just upgraded Starter software from v4.3.2.0 to v4.4.1.0 and v4.5.1.0 (each upgrade on a different PC).  Prior to the upgrades, we could communicate with our G120C fw v4.6 drives routed via IP=>DP without any issues.  After the upgrades, the communications fail when trying to connect to these drives.  We have a single v4.7 G120C drive that communicates fine and our v4.6 G120 drives are okay as well.

I have checked the addressing of the drive, the DP network etc and all is fine as far as I am aware.

I thought an install of SSP v4.6 might help, but it is inhibited because v4.7 is already installed.

"I am very much hoping I don't have to do hundreds of FW upgrades" :-)

Any tips would be appreciated greatly.

a installed V4.7 SSP should have no influence to the SSP V4.6 install.

Both SSP can installed parallel (Default in Starter install)

Is the ip adress from the logs pingable and are the pc and drives still in the same network? Do you use the auto or not auto network interface?

IP is from a PLC!
PC and drive not in the same network.

He use a routed connection to the Sinamics G : PC -> PLC -> G120

Thank you for your replies.  The PLC reports communications with all drives is healthy and the PLC has no BF or SF issues.  There are no issues process wise.  This is simply an issue of not  being able to communicate with my v4.6 G120C drives with the latest versions of Starter.  As I said before, the comms IS fine with the earlier version of Starter (v4.3.2.0) and I continue to use this while the issue persists with the later versions.

I am at a loss to figure this one out, so any more help would be appreciated.
