I was looking for this answer from last 30 mins or so but couldn't find the thread so I had to post this question. Sorry in advance if this question has been asked before.

So the query is " There are pointers used in my program for example P#DDB50.DBX526.0. Now if I want to see a particular bit db50.dbx526.1 , when I press "go to" option and I write this bit , even I overlap address, I am not able to find out that this bit is used in a pointer. I need a method or a way that I can come to know whether the bit I want to access is used in a pointer or somewhere else.

Note: The program is made by someone else and I have to access it.

One more request is, I am looking for a basic manual of "pointers , array and indexing for Step7 " so that I can start from the basics as I have no clue of arrays and indexing.

Sorry to say that it is not possible to find the addresses that are used by indirect adressing.

Anyhow I am facing lot of problem in this as I can't get directly to this. Could you guide me any basic manual for indirect addressing for all data types? Just to get a start.

I don´t know a manual which explains indirect addressing exclusively.
