Hello All, I wonder if you can help me please.  I work in a museum and we have over 30 working models where the public press a button and the models run for a set period. I have written a program that not only provides the timer function but monitors the button in case it jams in, monitors the motor driving the model in case it jams and does 4 other checks to ensure the models are not damaged. There is a cool-down period programmed after each run so that the small model motors do not overheat.  They are all networked so that I can monitor them remotely.

The button has a light on it which is ON when the model can run, OFF when it can't as it is cooling down and flashes when the PLC detects a fault.  What I want to do is make the light on the button flash during the cooldown period and as the cooldown timer is running, the button light flashes increase in speed until the timeout expires and the light on the button is fully on.  So it would start slow and increase in speed until it is fully on to indicate to the public how long they may have to wait. 

Can anyone help me as to how I can achieve this please.  I write the program in Ladder mode using OBA8 PLC's.

No, it is programmable, depending on the model. 

However, if the only way is to have a fixed period of time then that would not be a problem.

WOW ixo65, what a service you provide.  This is exactly what I want and all I need to do is convert it to a Ladder program and then integrate it into my program.  I must thank you very much for such a prompt service, you are very good, no, you are excellent!
