Want to connect 30V solar panel and a charger to the Logo

Actually I am new to siemens product and I was searching the form for help, since I saw that you had helped a lot of people I hope that you could help me also. I am using LOGO!8 12/24 RCE ,as I have read in the manual the analog input can manage 0-10V/0-20mA ,but in my project I have 30 V solar panel(as source of the power) I want to connected it to the logo then connect a charger also, two battery with 12 V and want to manage controlling a load with 24V by connecting inverter from 12V(battery) to 24V finally want to monitoring the voltage,current and power for every thing connected to the Logo. Are that possible using this logo, appreciate every thought and help you could provide . I had attached a diagram for the circuit similar to my circuit. Also could you help me, explaining to me the concept of using dry contact. With Thank. Esraa.

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 1/11/2026 Posts: 36435 Rating: (4547)	A LOGO! basic module with analog inputs can process only 0-10V signals directly. If you want to process 0 / 4-20mA, there are two possibilities: 1.) An analog input expansion module AM2, which can evaluate both 0-10V and / or 0 / 4-20mA. 2.) Parallel to the 0-10V input a 500 Ohm resistor. If the current flows through the resistor 20mA, a voltage drop of 10V is produced, which in turn can process the analog input. To the solar panel: 30VDC are too much for the LOGO!. According to the manual max. 26.8VDC. If you use LOGO! anyway, I would suggest you to use a 24V fixed voltage regulator. To measure the voltage, use a voltage divider consisting of 2 resistors. To do this, switch a 21 kΩ resistor and a 10 kΩ resistor parallel to the panel. The open end of the 21 kOhm to the plus of the panel, the 10 kOhm to the minus of the panel. Connect the middle of the two resistors to the analogue input of the LOGO!.

As I understood you suggest to connect the solar panel with a 24V fixed voltage regulator to a void overload on the PLC right , Okay that is fine. regarding the measurement tips that you provide I am confuse do you want me to connect the panel to the voltage divider or the regulator . also want your help to explain how I can measure the current .
