GSD files on COM ET200

NewTech Posts: 75 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I am trying to configure an IM 308-B with CPU 944 115U and OP17 IHM, but when i try configure GSD files on COM ET 200 for OP17 or TD17 i don't found this files, so i put files on same directory and dont look. I made same test on COM Profibus, files location correctly. I am see de Kom_e manual and read: "If you use the IM308B you do not require any device master files" (pág. 6-14) this wants to say, i dont need GSD file for OP17? Anybody help me? Thanks all

Late Platinum Member Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 5/11/2025 Posts: 2705 Rating: (321)	Hi, For the (very) old IM 308B you may need .200 files, those files must be delivered with the COM ET200 software, I believe that I have them seen also with COM Profibus.... So look in the different directorys of COM Profibus, or search for .200 files.

As the com et 200 is the older system there is only an upgrade path to com profibus, then you need an im308C !!! For your system: Com et 200 dosn't use gsd-filesfor configuration, but *.200 files. These files have been delivered with your com et 200. If you don't find a file op17.200 just choose op15.200. Please look for your periferal adresses, an op can use 8, 16 or 32 byte in and out. Good luck PS: seeing your new post: TDOPA0ET.200 sounds good to me.

So i change an OP15 to OP17 withou any config on COM ET 200 and function correctly!!! You know what i make to connect TD17 in IM308B and S5115 944B?? I call to Siemens Brasil, but not receive a answer about correctly GSD (*.200) file for use TD17 on this network.. Thanks for any help!! Oliveira, M

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I fear that there will not be any ".200" File for the TD 17. But to make sure for you please contact either the COMDEC, in Germany, or the PIC, in the US. They are dedicated PROFIBUS Specification Centre and if they know nothing about it, nobody knows. I only found the GSD File, no .200 File. Best regards J_Bell
