Rezki_Alexey Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Hello! I have a soft starter 3RW4027-1TB04. There were made 7 starts in 1 hour, and on SS there was an error, LED (device and failure) get red. Errors were not reset. I replaced SS with a similar one. After 2 hours, the non-working SS was turned on again, there were no errors. At the moment, SS is working fine. What was the problem and how can I avoid such situations in the future? Softstarter params: Trip class = 10 / Motor current = 30A / Current limiting = 3 / Ramp up time = 5s / Starting voltage = 40% / Ramp down time = 5s.

Mr. SIRIUS Bronze-Expert Joined: 5/17/2010 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 227 Rating: (28)	Hello, With older 3RW40 it was a bit tricky to identify the correct colour if the device LED because the failure LED was also cross-fading to the device led. In this case it was helpful to look from the front to the LEDs. Not sure if this could be the reason in your case. Another idea it is a sporadic hardware fault maybe caused by temperature or something else. Could you specify when this error state happened? While startup, bypass mode or ramp down? If it happens again and again with only this soft starter I would replace it. With best regards Michael

Rezki_Alexey Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Dear Michael! This happened during startup. The starting currents were in the 100 A region. The instruction contains information on the 5 starts per hour. Perhaps the SS control cards are overheated?

However, when the motor starts up, the red LEDs (device and failure) light up again after 1-3 seconds. In some cases, when starting, the motor vibrates strongly. I tried to connect a motor of lower power, motor came out on bypass mode. But after 5-8 seconds errors appeared again. I will give in repair the SS.
