g120 starter problem

saeedplc Posts: 288 Rating: (4)	Hello dear experts, we have a machine in which one s7300 and three g120(cu240e-2pn) drives and one cu320(five servo drives) have been used. when i connect my laptop to ethernet switch to connect to drives for fault finding with starter software only cu320 is recognized in the software not g120 drives. i have also installed ssp v4.6. please help me. best regards.

Graeme Platinum Member Joined: 6/4/2008 Last visit: 11/25/2025 Posts: 1521 Rating: (327)	Well, perhaps the G120 firmware version is greater than v4.6 and that is why Starter won't recognise them - if you are connected direct to a switch, then it should not be a routing issue depending on exactly how the drives interconnect of course. As a general rule, always keep your SSP's up to date (and remember, it is not enough only to install the latest, you should install all the versions since your root Starter version) Latest SSP for Starter only is V4.7 SP10
