Can you confirm(see attached)  that this is how to wire the AM2 AQ?  It is very hard to find decent documentation for the wiring, and I don't want to burn this module up before I can use it. 

Also, on the "X11" row, there are 2 analog outputs with 2 terminals each?  Is the rightmost terminal for earth ground?    The diagrams are very vague.

None of the answers to this post adequately answer the question about how to connect an AM2-AQ 0-10VDC output to control the speed of a Variable Frequency Drive(VFD).  Most VFD's are setup to accept a voltage signal from a 5kohm,3-wire potentiometer.  The VFD provides the +10VDC supply and  common connection across the 5kohm potentiometer resistor.  The adjustable wiper on the potentiometer supplies the variable voltage to the speed input on the VFD.

The problem is the goofy Siemens schematic for connecting the AM2-AQ shows the U+ and M connections with a >=5kohm resistor connected across the two inputs. Where is the variable signal input supposed to be connected?  I suspect that U+ needs to be connected to the variable wiper input of the VFD and M needs to be connected to the VFD signal Common, but that doesn't seem like it would be too stable.

So.... does that mean the AM2-AQ can't be used in place of a 3-wire pot.?

So you connect a F.O. (VFD) to the LOGO module AM2 AQ

The AM2 AQ module has 2 independent outputs, so you can use also U2+ and M2

And, you can (its not neccecary) use the X11 to connect it with the shield of the wiring
