I find that recently many programmers use an engineering software, DriveES, to integrate the masterdrives into Step 7 programming; it comes with special function bocks that can be used both to parametrize and to control the drive from the PLC.

I just examined the OB1instructions in the downloadable pdf, and thought it worth to add a comment. The language used is STL, but the addressinguses German mnemonics ( PEW256, PAW256). Depending on the settings of your Step 7, it might reject these addresses. Just change the PEW to PIW and the PAW to PQW so Step 7 (set to English mnemonics) accepts them. Same thing for the STL instructions: U E2.1, becomes A I2.1, UN E2.1 becomes AN I2.1.

s7 communciation with the MasterDriver you first configure the hardware in the step 7
the address and telegram length is very important .and in the program of s7 create a fb or fc
in the function you call sfc14 and sfc 15 read and write the data to the driver
set the dp address in P918 same as configured in hardware of step7
in the driver you configure parameter (look at the diagram function of cb )
