why CPU always in stop mode

simatix Experienced Member Joined: 7/8/2008 Last visit: 10/2/2025 Posts: 52 Rating: (0)	dear all members, Does anybody know why the 928 CPU always in stop mode and cannot be overall reseted? i have a system to be tested, with spesification below: Cpu = 6ES5 928 - 3UA12 without memory modules attached rack = 6ES5 188 - 3UA32 Psu = 6ES5 955- 3LC41 I/o = 6ES5 430-4UA13 The problem is CPU always in stop mode, unable to be overall reset. STOP ledflashing continously, BASP led lit. from the manual, I followed a clue to check the istack. Below are the result: STP, URL-IA, MOD-FE, UA-SYS and sometimes DB2-FE i also have been check the RS 3 and Rs4 (EA03 and EA04) address, Both of them give 0000 as the results. Could you tell me whats wrong? and would you mind to share the solution? Thank you, Simatixplc@yahoo.com

From your description I am assuming :NO If you have the Manual for the 928CPU , please look at Section 3 Page 32. ( Start Up and Functional Test . ) The 928CPU has NO Intenal Ram for the User Program , only for Data Blocks.
