Hi, I am using timerP and link the time remain out to display a count down of xxxx seconds as the remaining time.  I am not able to find any blocks that can display a count down of hour , min, seconds. Appreciate anyone here can give me some idea on where to find the block or have some sample program that can help me on this? Many thanks.

in the attachment you find a simple block to convert the time in seconds into hours, minutes and seconds.

All necessary information to create this block you can find in the manual S7-SCL V5.3 for S7-300/400.
There you also can find how to implement your own block with the programming language SCL.

Hi snowball,

it's really simple.

1. Open the SIMATIC Manager.
2. Open the Master Data Library of your project and click on "S7 program > Source".
3. Right click on the folder "Source" and select "Insert New Object > External Source".
   A new window will open.
4. Select there the SCL-Source.
5. Confirm the load of the SCL-Source with "open".
   The SCL-Source will added in your project.
6. Double click on the new added SCL-Source.
   The SCL editor will open.
7. Click on "Options > Symbol Table".
   The symbol table will open.
8. Add an entry for the block.
   - Use as Symbol "TimeSplit"
   - Use as Address any FB number greater  than 2500 that you have not used in your project.

   - Add a useful comment
9. Save the symbol table.
10. Close the symbol table.
11. Click on the button "Compile".
    The block will generated.
12. Open the any CFC.
13. In the catalog you can find your block under "[Name of Master Data Libray] > S7 program\blocks > MyBlocks > TimeSplit".
