How to transfer the license? Windows XP to WIndows 7

chikhim Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hello there! I have a PC with Windows XP with STEP7 Professional 2006 SR6 V5.4 and Simatic Wincc Flexible 2008 installed with their own licenses. I will upgrade the Operating system to Windows 7. My question is can i use the same licenses in the new operating system? Thanks a lot.

Windows offers some kind of upgrading OS' - or do you uninstall and reinstall new one?Anyway, I suggest to store the licenses on the USB stick.

Ste39 Posts: 4620 Rating: (710)	Hello chikhim, Be careful, the license may be less of a problem, it is STEP 7 V5.4 is not released for windows 7 and also take a look at WinCC Flexible 2008 SP ?: Go to Link to Compatibility Tool: Which version of STEP 7 is compatible with which version of Microsoft Windows operating system?
