Hello all,

I have Automation License Manager and have purchased copies of Step 7 V16, WinCC Advanced V16, and PLCSim Advanced V3.0.

The Step 7 V16 is classified as a 'floating' license, but the other two packages are not. I thought this meant that I can share the Step 7 V16 from Automation License Manager but not the other two packages, however it appears that all three licenses can be pushed to, and retrieved from ALM, so it looks like all three are floating licenses.

I think I have misunderstood the use of floating licenses (or ALM). Can someone explain the difference between how these licenses are supposed to behave please? Maybe they behave the same but I am not legally allowed to use the other two licenses as floating licenses. In any case some guidance would be great please.
