How to disconnect the software connection between USER button and reset?

DominicJ Posts: 4 Rating: (1)	bergmanu Differences between SIMATIC IOT2000 and Intel Galileo Gen 2: There is no hardwired connection between USER button and reset GPIO pin. Currently there is no connection between the USER button and the reset GPIO. In a future version of our example image there will be a software connection. So the reset pin will only be set by the USER button if the software package “galileo-target” is installed and running on your image. Our SD-Card Example Image includes this package, but the functionality is not included yet. When I load a sketch via the Arduino IDE, the sketch is reset after pressing the USER button. Is it possible to disable this behaviour ? I would like to disconnect the software connection between USER button and reset, because I would like to use the button in my sketch. IOT2040 Image V2.6 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Behavior of the USER Button.

jan-k Silver Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 3/12/2025 Posts: 578 Rating: (43)	There is the galileo_sketch_reset service listening on the user button, issuing a kill of the sketch binary once it is pressed. If you stop it and prevent it from restarting (check /opt/cln/galileo/launcher.sh), you should get the desired behavior.
