Evening, we want to monitor our machines at work, see what power they are using over the week, when they are turned on and off, speeds they are run at etc. 

I am wondering about putting a LOGO! in each machine as they have all the inputs I need, plus they have 4x analog inputs that I can use for a clamp meter (ampage).

Is it possible to use a LOGO! in each machine and to communicate via ethernet to a S7-1200 that can be used for collecting all the data?

I'm aware of the ET200, but we only have the TIA Basic and the Professional is rather expensive!

Yes, it is possible that a LOGO! communicates with an S7-1200.

The LOGO! be the client or the server.

In my opinion, it is easier if the LOGO! the client is.
