Thanks for the answer. It also works if you just assign the color value to the return value. My problem now is how to relate with the color codes. I thought they might be RGB but this does not work. I also tried RGB() and RGBA() but when I use them the colors dont change. If I use the colors from the examples though the colors work as expected. Please advice.

try to use that function:

HMIRuntime.Math.RGB(94, 209, 173)

There you can enter RGB values and optional the alpha chanel.

If you use the plain hex Value, the first byte is the alpha (transparent) channel.

All is good but one thing. The color changes according o the tag but only when I reopen the faceplate. If the tag changes while the faceplate is open then it doesn't show. Any ideas?
